DEDICATION AND POSITIVITY PROMPT NOMINATION

DEDICATION AND POSITIVITY PROMPT NOMINATION

Congratulations to Karen Hankins, Atlantic Lift Systems’ Richmond Branch Manager, who recently received recognition from the American Rental Association (ARA) as an outstanding woman in the equipment rental industry.

When the ARA announced in April that they were seeking nominations to recognize outstanding women who make significant contributions in the equipment rental industry, her teammates at Atlantic Lift Systems sprang to action with their nominations.  As the Richmond Branch Manager, Hankins manages the day-to-day operations of Atlantic Lift Systems’ Richmond branch, doing whatever it takes to meet the needs of every client.  She is a selfless manager, willing to do whatever it takes to support her company and her employees, and she does not shy away from stepping out into the field when needed. An ideal mix of toughness, support and collaboration, Karen has built a successful career in a traditionally male dominated industry, garnering the respect and admiration of her staff, and serving as a role model while paving new ground for all women.

According to the ARA, there were over 135 nominations of woman, both nationally and internationally.  However, it was the nominations for Hankins from her colleagues that made it very much evident that she knows firsthand about what it takes to succeed in a male dominated business environment. Atlantic Lift Systems is delighted that Karen Hankins, Richmond  Branch Manager, was recognized by the ARA for the honor of being named an Outstanding Woman in Rental for the continuous and substantial contributions she is making, which help to shape our industry.
