Contributing to sustainable community development has always been one of our Atlantic Lift Systems values.
Assisting social causes and working with other small businesses in our area are some of our favorite things to do! So far this year, we have been fortunate to lift up some non-profit projects, and made conscious decisions to direct our dollars to local small business for services.
Urban Core Construction “Club House” Playhouse Project to Support Henrico CASA’s Home for Good® 2023
In April 2023, we provided equipment to help our friends at Urban Core Construction and Henrico CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children) of Richmond, VA to build one of six playhouses as part of CASA’s “Home For Good” annual fundraiser. Local builders came out in full force once again this year, donating resources to create the one-of-a-kind luxury playhouses, to help CASA create awareness that childhood should be carefree, without abuse or neglect. We applaud all the industry pros who contributed labor, materials, expertise, equipment and most of all, heart to this CASA fundraiser. We were honored to work alongside area pros from 84 Lumber Company, Saunders Roofing Company, Snyder Solutions LLC and ENV on the “Club House” project, to support Urban Core in helping CASA fulfill their mission. CASA is a group that provides best-interest advocacy for abused and neglected children in court, to ensure that all children in Henrico County live in safe and stable homes.
The six luxury playhouses for 2023 were on display at Short Pump Town Center, where the public could make a $5 donation for a chance to win a playhouse. The Home For Good fundraiser has now come to a close and the playhouses have been delivered to six lucky winners. This year marks the 3rd annual Home For Good event. Since it began in 2021, the growing success has exceeded all expectations, raising over $95,000 last year. We are thrilled to contribute to such a wonderful cause. Lifting Up Princess Anne Little League of Virginia Beach
Most of us have witnessed in our children, or benefitted ourselves, from the life lessons, healthy play and character building experienced in youth sports. For these reasons, sponsoring Princess Anne Little League of Virginia Beach makes good sense for the community. This season, we lifted them up and donated the use of one of our JLG 450AJ articulating boom lifts, so the league could install new back stops for their newly renovated field. Play ball!
Lifting Up Local
It means a lot to us when our clients choose local and choose Atlantic Lift Systems, which is why we make it a point to buy as much of our equipment + services from local businesses as possible. These are just a sample of some of the local love we have directed this year.

Our brand is our word, and our fleet is our greatest asset. Which is why when we bring in a new company vehicle, our first stop is AG Wraps in Chesapeake, for custom graphics. We trust AG Wraps design to reflect the ALS commitment to quality.
Construction Safety Week
We take safety seriously and are proud to be a local industry leader in operator safety trainings. As part of our commitment to running a “safety-first” business and supporting our client community, Atlantic Lift Systems was pleased to demonstrate scissor lift safety to a big crowd at Clancy & Theys Construction Company in Richmond, Virginia recently for Construction Safety Week.
We also celebrated the arrival of some ground-breaking equipment to the ALS fleet. We were pretty excited to be the first rental company in the marketplace to have the new JLG 670SJ Self-Leveling Boom Lift, so we threw a party! We hosted a good ole backyard barbecue at our Richmond branch and invited our clients. They had lunch on us, while we demoed the equipment, and then they had a blast testing it out for themselves! It’s always nice to to do something special for those we serve.
